Paris, October 7, 2025 – Unlimitail, the retail media alliance supporting more than 35 retailers and 120 e-commerce sites across Europe and Latin America, has been equipping Carrefour convenience stores with a new network of DOOH screens since this summer. The deployment targets convenience stores based on criterias such as geographic location and foot traffic. This launch marks the integration of the Instore universe into the Group’s omnichannel strategy, with a clear ambition: to connect media, commerce, and performance directly at the point of sale. It also highlights Unlimitail’s ability to support a network of franchisees operating under diverse formats, whose diversity and expertise are key strengths of the Carrefour Group.
This new lever unifies dynamic planning, contextual distribution, and local sales attribution to deliver a more effective, end-to-end advertising experience. It also builds on the systems already implemented at Carrefour with Unlimitail, ensuring operational consistency across all channels.
The project builds on two recent successes achieved by Unlimitail in Brazil. The first was a pilot installation at an Atacadão store in Rio de Janeiro, featuring around 40 synchronized screens that fully cover the point of sale in the brand’s colors, delivering powerful and immersive campaigns. Building on this achievement, the system is now being gradually rolled out across several other Atacadão stores in Brazil.
The second initiative involves arch-shaped screens installed at the entrances of Carrefour stores, designed to capture customers’ attention from the moment they arrive. These successes are now paving the way for an in-store project in France, within a network that is both extensive and highly relevant: Carrefour Proximité.
Across Europe, Instore Retail Media is experiencing rapid growth, driven by the digitalization of points of sale and rising expectations for measurement. Unlimitail is now established as a leading expert, capable of managing Instore Retail Media from end to end, covering everything from operational deployment to media activation, with advanced measurement expertise supported by proven methodologies.

This new network of indoor screens complements the devices already in place, enabling the activation of the full in-store media funnel: driving consideration outside the store through DOOH storefronts, and conversion inside the store via contextual digital screens seamlessly integrated into the shopping journey.
“The digitization of points of sale is accelerating, and Carrefour is supporting this transition by providing franchisees with a comprehensive range of turnkey solutions. This new network of screens is a tangible example of that. By delivering relevant messages at the right place and the right time, we are enhancing the daily experience of our partners while creating value for each point of sale,” adds Benoît Soury, Executive Director of Proximity, Carrefour France.
A solution designed to be relevant and seamlessly integrated.
Each point of sale will feature an average of two 50-inch screens, strategically positioned in the most visible areas of the customer journey: one at the entrance or in the market area, and a second in a high-traffic aisle or “hot zone.” This setup captures attention from the very start of the shopping journey without disrupting the flow of the store.
Targeting is powered by a technology developed by Iagona, a digital signage specialist, which allows stores to easily manage their screens locally through a secure self-service interface. Unlimitail complements this system with its data expertise, activating the most relevant screens for each campaign using signals such as geolocation, weather, and Carrefour transactional data.
“This new DOOH network gives us additional leverage to connect brands with consumers as close as possible to the point of purchase. Leveraging our expertise in retail media and our mastery of Carrefour transactional data, we can offer advertisers an unprecedented level of targeting and measurement on this channel. This represents a strategic step in enhancing our omnichannel activation capabilities, with a strong focus on consistency and performance,” said Alexis Marcombe, CEO of Unlimitail.
“We developed Neoscreen to provide a powerful, modular, and secure software solution for players in the Instore Retail Media and DOOH sectors. The point-of-sale media activation market is booming and undergoing significant technological change, and we are thrilled to support Unlimitail as a strategic partner in this first large-scale deployment within the Carrefour neighborhood store network,” added Pascal Hermandesse, President of the Iagona group.
A rapid rollout to establish a presence in high-traffic areas.
The rollout began in June in Paris with an initial wave of five pilot stores. It will continue gradually over the coming months, aiming to equip several hundred stores by the end of 2025, and up to 900 sites by 2027 in major French cities.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to offer brands genuine omnichannel activations, combining media reach with precise targeting and measurement intelligence. It complements a range of solutions already in place, including the DOOH offering within Carrefour hypermarkets and Market stores, and reinforces Unlimitail's position as a leading player in in-store Retail Media. This ambition is further reflected in the appointment of Emmanuel Pottier as Director of Development and Innovation, responsible for accelerating the deployment of new in-store and omnichannel solutions.
Unlimitail has selected its long-standing partner, Médiaperformances, to manage its marketing and engage with advertisers and agencies.
